However, as Laezel is a Githyanki and one of the original characters, taking on her role immerses you much deeper in this aspect of the game, as you get to select your allies and become either a valiant warrior for your Queen or a hero who saves your people.<\/p>

Following are the major changes in gameplay that you will observe when you choose Laezel as your character to play Baldurs Gate 3!<\/p>

1. Control of Your Allegiances<\/strong><\/h3>
Vlaakith, Orpheus, Or Yourself<\/strong><\/h5>

For the most part, Laezel is a loyal soldier of her queen, Vlaakith, and depending on your rolls, you can typically convince her in your favor. On the other hand, you are fully in charge of your allegiances if you are playing as her.<\/p>

You have the option to disregard Vlaakith right from the start or to support Orpheus instead of remaining faithful to her until the very end. You can also decide not to give a damn, but if you do, you will be ignoring the majority of your past.<\/p>

2. Meeting Losiir<\/strong><\/h3>
Replacing Lae’zel In The Nautiloid<\/strong><\/h5>
\"Laezel<\/figure><\/div>

The nautiloid Laezel emerges during the instructional stage of the game, giving you a brief explanation of the situation and your first task, which is to take control of the helm. However, if you are her, she is unable to accomplish any of it.<\/p>

It’s where Losiir, the new character, first shows up. He assumes her place and provides you with the task and facts. In addition, he’s a skilled fighter who can quickly win fights against two opponents. However, after the nautiloid sequence is finished, he will perish, leaving Shadowheart with a fine set of Gith armor.<\/p>

3. Messing With The Tieflings<\/strong><\/h3>
Be As Aggressive As You Want<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>

Githyanki has a reputation that is only surpassed by Drows among the people of Faer\u00fbn. Being one will lead to problems, so even if you might attempt to be a better friend than Laezel, you still have the power to make them do what you want.<\/p>

Sadly, the two Tieflings that imprison Lae’zel when you’re not playing as her will pass away, ending the dialogue completely. However, you will be able to command Zorru to submit to you, and Ellyka, the Tiefling, will become hostile toward you right away, increasing the likelihood that you will engage her in combat.<\/p>

4. Meeting Voss For The First Time<\/strong><\/h3>
It’s A Lot Smoother Here<\/strong><\/h5>

Taking part in many rolls during the first chat with Voss can be challenging, and failing might throw off an otherwise tough fight in Act 1. Things are made slightly easier by having Laezel present, but they are made considerably easier by playing those scenarios as her.<\/p>

You can diffuse the tension or, like us, murder her for attempting to purchase a Gith egg, which is a very impolite act. Either way, there will be a greater likelihood of conflict, but the choice is yours.<\/p>

6. The Githyanki Cr\u00e8che<\/strong><\/h3>
Your Time To Shine<\/strong><\/h5>
\"Laezel<\/figure><\/div>

The other companions don’t say much in this segment, so without Laezel as a friend, things move along rather quickly. You’ll probably use the zaith’isk yourself, encounter a good number of Giths (though most NPCs will be friendly and only engage in combat if they discover the relic), and decide how to deal with Vlaakith\u2014her first appearance in the game takes place here.<\/p>

After finishing this section, you’ll take a private, extended nap during which Lae’zel will reflect on the entire scenario while the narrator recounts the happenings at the cr\u00e8che. Though you can stay on the side of “I’m now an enemy of my people” or “Vlaakith is still my Queen” (which takes the place of a dialogue you would normally have with Lae’zel if she were a buddy), don’t forget about the egg.<\/p>

7. Discussing With Shadowheart<\/strong><\/h3>
This One Is Entirely Up To You<\/strong><\/h5>

Although you can’t play as Laezel in this scene, you can talk to her and argue with her over the prism while on the cr\u00e8che (as told to you in previous point). It’s clear how much the Gith wants it and talks about it.<\/p>

You can opt to argue non-aggressively, to argue aggressively, or to say that you don’t care to return it to the Gith because, at this point, you already know you need the prism.<\/p>

8. Voss’ Second Interaction<\/strong><\/h3>
It’s Also Simpler Here<\/strong><\/h5>
\"Voss<\/figure><\/div>

There is a connection between this moment and your ideal state. However, unless you desire to stick with Vlaakith, the talk also goes more smoothly when you interact with Voss after a prolonged period of rest and discover he wants to betray Vlaakith.<\/p>

Additionally, you have access to more chat options than when you play as someone else, which provides you with additional details about the scenario and Voss. The end result doesn’t really alter overall, but the conversation in between is good.<\/p>

9. Vlaakith’s Second Interaction<\/strong><\/h3>

Unless you persuade her otherwise, Laezel will typically opt to defy Vlaakith’s intentions; but, in this case, the decision is entirely yours.<\/p>

You have plenty of reasons by now in the game to reject Vlaakith, but at least you still have a choice. Alternatively, you might scold her and go about figuring out how to set Orpheus, the Prince of the Comet, free.<\/p>

10. Endings<\/strong><\/h3>
To Leave Or Not To Leave<\/strong><\/h5>
\"Ending<\/figure><\/div>

Laezel’s endings are likewise essentially the same, but as there are no dice involved, choosing her fate is simpler. You can choose whether or not to assist Orpheus, change into a Mind Flayer in place of your Prince, or allow him to take the lead in the battle against Vlaakith alongside Voss.<\/p>

Alternatively, you could still climb and return to Vlaakith as her hero, or you could just leave the Gith alone and decide to stay in Faer\u00fbn with your newfound allies. Depending on how your experience unfolded, there are a variety of approaches you can take here.<\/p>

In general, Lae’zel’s Origin modifies the game less than other mods, such as Karlach. However, because of the ongoing Gith vs. Mind Flayer conflict, many things alter when you play as a Githyanki, and since Lae’zel is a Gith, you’ll have access to special dialogue options.<\/p>

Lae’zel will provide you with the ideal Gith protagonist experience if you don’t plan on courting her because she will receive all the benefits of the race in addition to her amazing past. But, if you choose to play as a custom Githyanki and fall in love with Lae’zel, that is also a compelling choice. You’ll get to share in her tale moments with her, and since you are a fellow Gith, you might even decide to help her in the fight against the Lich Queen.<\/p>
