Lies of P is remarkably close to matching the sophistication and iconic style of its sources. The story is told from a far grimmer perspective as you play the part of Pinocchio, a voiceless protagonist dressed in Victorian attire. You must find your creator, Geppetto, by navigating through blood-stained cobblestone streets and gear-strewn passageways in the made-up city of Krat, which has been overtaken by frantic puppets.
If you like Bloodborne and Sekiro, you’ll recognize the majority of the Soulsborne game’s elements, including the fighting. A few tweaks to the formula, though, highlight how distinctively Lies of P distinguishes out from the plethora of other Soulslike games. Though Assassin’s Creed Origins has always been good, I didn’t start to think of it as exceptional until three years after it was released.
It’s an amazing blend of open-ended fighting, science fiction storyline, and historical tourism. It also shows a level of confidence that is only partially matched by the more contemporary Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Origins is happy to keep large portions of its world unfilled and to let things burn slowly, in ways that are both narrative and exploratory, in contrast to the two most recent installments, which embrace the insecure mentality of “content” that has so defined the last ten years of open-world games. Its map spreads across oases, mountains, deserts, and sun-kissed cities that are gradually being buried by sand, all the while its two main characters, Bayek and Aya, navigate one of the most captivating romantic plots in video games.
It doesn’t entirely object to cosmetic DLC packs and daily challenges. However, just a few open-world games have my attention span covered. It knows that well-woven sad tale and pastoral beauty are worth far more to me than any number of diversionary tactics its heirs can dish out.

This makes for excellent puzzle design and inventive boss battles, giving gamers an experience they won’t soon forget.
Jeppe Carlsen, who previously worked on Playdead’s Limbo and Inside, designed Cocoon, a puzzle-adventure game featuring a primary mechanism that travels the planet. Players will gradually progress through a variety of imaginative stages chock-full of monsters and brainteasers by finding and using orbs.
