Best Assassin’s Creed Games? Here’s the list
10. Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Release Date: 2023
Platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC
Users’ Score: 74%
No, You’re not dreaming; Assassin’s Creed Mirage brought the series back to its roots and delivered a blood-curdling good time. As the main character, Basim takes center stage, tracking his target through the gorgeous, busy metropolis of Baghdad while refocusing on the stealth missions. A smaller city and fewer bells and whistles may seem like a step backward! But considering how much these games have grown over the years, everything in this game is lean and focused. It’s very refreshing.
Unfortunately, Mirage’s campaign doesn’t stick in your memory because the quality of the primary tale, the villain, and the hero are all diminished. Nevertheless, Mirage has been perfected into an assassin that is both trustworthy and precise; what more could be wished for?
9. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
Release Date: 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Users’ Score: 76%
The mission in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is to locate an item in London before the Templars do. The story takes place in London in 1868, just after the Second Industrial Revolution got off! And centers on the brother assassins Evie and Jacob Frye as they fight organized crime and attempt to retake the city from the Templars.
The attractive twin characters, Evie and Jacob Frye, who you may play at your rhythm, contribute to the fun with funny dialogue that never comes off as offensive or insensitive. They seem like actual folks you would like to go to hang out with. Syndicate unites the greatest elements of the whole Assassin’s Creed series under one opulent roof! Thus, letting you play gleefully with everything and even hurtle through the city in carriages, causing complete mayhem and demonstrating what the franchise is capable of when it tries. Also putting it in the list of Best Assassin’s Creed Games.
Along with enhanced parkour and stealth mechanics, this version featured a new traveling system. Additionally, players are free to alternate between the two main characters at any time, as told earlier.

8. Assassin’s Creed Unity
Release Date: 2014
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Users’ Score: 77%
The mission of the playable character in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s sequel, which takes place in 18th-century Paris, is to find the body of a Templar Grand Master. The assassin Arno Dorian tries to identify the individuals behind the French Revolution while taking revenge on those responsible for his adopted father’s demise.
The tone of the original Assassin’s Creed was restored in Assassin’s Creed Unity, following the boozy influence of Edward Kenway, the pirate protagonist of Black Flag. Assassin’s Creed Unity, the first AC game to be entirely launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (with PC, of course), boasted massive crowds of NPCs and impressive graphics for its time, but its launch was a little bumpy.
Some players left the game due to several bugs, glitches, and an extremely cluttered map, but those who kept going discovered an amazing Revolutionary France setting, improved movement options that made scaling buildings much simpler and more enjoyable, and delicate assassination missions. To be honest, the opportunity to witness Notre Dame in all its splendor makes AC Unity well worth in the list of Best Assassin’s Creed Games.
7. AC Rogue
Release Date: 2014
Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Switch
Users’ Score: 83%
The seventh installment gained notoriety due to a significant turn of events that took place during the French and Indian War, between 1752 and 1760. The main character, Shay Patrick Cormac, is a former Assassin who enlists with the Templars to aid them in finding and eliminating other Assassins.
With the release of Unity, Black Flag’s combat and exploration approach was discontinued. As a result, some fans praise Rogue for being a welcome rehash that does a remarkable job of recreating the best aspects of Black Flag. Additionally, tiny improvements to ship combat and new locations like the North Pole provide those elements a little extra kick without drastically altering them. Additionally, it easily kills off some of the most adored characters from the North American arc, which is nice fan service. Adding to that, the delightfully paradoxical aspect of always being in danger, of being killed by Assassins, and Rogues is unquestionably a thrill element.
Great appreciation was given to the intricate protagonist and plot, but it was also harshly condemned for being too long and sharing too many similarities with Black Flag. The North Atlantic, New York City, and a fictional Valley modeled after the Hudson Valley are the three primary playable regions.
6. Assassin’s Creed Revelations
Release Date: 2011
Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Switch
Users’ Score: 85%
Now the sixth contendor in the lisst of Best Assassin’s Creed Games is AC Revelations. In this episode, the legendary Ezio Auditore da Firenze—albeit much older—travels to Constantinople. His goal is to find five keys that will allow him to enter a sacred library constructed by the main character of the first Assassin’s Creed game, Altair Ibn-La’Ahad.
Ezio’s journey coincides with the battle for the Ottoman crown, where he must expose the intricate plot put in place by the Templars to take over the city and obtain the keys for themselves. Even though it outsold its predecessors in terms of sales, the gameplay mechanics were criticized for being too similar to previous iterations with no variation.
The story of Revelation focuses on loss and sacrifice in a brutally honest manner that both wounds and pleases the heart. Both Ezio and Altair receive heartfelt farewells.

5. AC Origins
Release Date: 2017
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Users’ Score: 86%
The plot, which takes place during the Ptolemaic era, centers on Bayek of Siwa and his wife Aya as they seek revenge for the death of their son. With a Discovery Tour mode that forgoes combat and encourages players to explore and learn about the history and culture of the Ptolemaic era through excursions, the design and historical authenticity are astounding. In response to the criticism, it moved away from the stealth-action mechanic and added more aspects of a role-playing game along with a completely new fighting system, thus making it to the list of Best Assassin’s Creed Games.
An RPG quest system too means you’ve got endless choices of how to play. Origins make it all about you and eliminate all the annoying elements of the previous Creeds. Kill as you please, ride anywhere you please, climb every obstacle, and discover every treasure filled with surprises.
4. AC Brotherhood
Release Date: 2010
Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Switch
Users’ Score:
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood carries on Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s journey, solidifying his status as the series’ most beloved protagonist. It builds on the additional mechanics introduced in Assassin’s Creed 2, including swimming, property management, weaponry, and recruitable companions, but swaps the varied landscapes of Assassin’s Creed 2 for a larger version of Rome and its surrounding countryside. With the help of its upgraded fighting, you get aggressive battle assassins in this charming, humorous, and dramatic chapter of Ezio’s adventure.
It was also the first game in the series to have multiplayer, where players could take on the role of the Templars and determine which of their friends was indeed the finest hunter or assassin. Even though it didn’t improve the fighting formula as much as its predecessor, many people still consider it to be among the Best Assassin’s Creed Games.

3. Assassin’s Creed 2
Release Date: 2009
Platforms: PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Switch
Users’ Score: 88%
Generally regarded as one of the best video games ever created. The Ezio trilogy begins with his quest for vengeance against those responsible for the deaths of his father and brothers. The open world contained magnificent towns like Venice and Florence, among others, accurately reconstructed to portray the period. The story took place in Italy during the Renaissance, between 1476 and 1499.
Assassin’s Creed II provided a good example of a video game sequel living up to the hype following its mediocre predecessor. Assassination missions became more dynamic with ACII, even though later entries would offer even more depth. You could approach objectives more freely, create more distractions or conceal yourself, engage in better combat, and move more freely. The upgradeable homebase villa gave players a reason to keep spending money on collecting gold and trinkets, new weapons, and gear.
2. Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag
Release Date: 2013
Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Switch
Users’ Score: 89%
Black Flag tried something different after a lengthy run of assassin protagonists! It introduced us to a main character who was first a pirate. With its abundance of islands brimming with wealth and activities to partake in! As well as its upgrading system that turned hunting wild animals and harpooning into something other than tedious work. Rather than reducing sailing, it expanded on the naval combat system from Assassin’s Creed 3 to elevate nautical exploration to the center of the Black Flag. Thus, making it one of the Best Assassin’s Creed Games.
Co-op is limited to the land-based aspects of the game, with a large portion of the action taking place at sea. Because of its fantastic pirate theme and enhanced naval warfare, it is regarded as one of the best games in the series

1. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Release Date: 2018
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Users’ Score: 89%
Go over everything we mentioned above regarding Assassin’s Creed Origins, and then picture the same thing happening in Ancient Greece, only with a lot more detail. Voila!
The fighting system and increased emphasis on role-playing from Assassins’ Creed Origins are carried over into Assassin’s Creed Odyssey! Along with addition of few new elements. The entire experience is set against the expansive background of Ancient Greece, which is rattled in the conflict between Sparta and Athens.
This is literally the Best Assassin’s Creed Games. A Spartan mercenary, the main character is on a never-ending quest to locate their family and destroy the Cult of Kosmos. Odyssey is unique in a way that it focuses more on mythology and history than on the customary Assassin-Templar conflict.
Even after you finish Odyssey, there’s still so much to plunder and discover. And believe me, it’s a delight to simply exist in its world.
