Season 1 Zombies Edition CONTENT
Story Act and Mission
- At the beginning of Season 1, all players have instant access to Act IV and a brand-new Story Mission.
- There’s a huge new entrance to the Exclusion Zone. Explore the region and take part in fresh end-game activities.
Dark Aether Rifts
- Those who dare take on the challenges presented by Dark Aether Rifts reap rewards.
- The Dark Aether is home to these strange mazes, where players and their team have a certain amount of time to finish a series of progressively difficult tasks in order to receive extraordinary rewards. To access the Dark Aether Rifts and take on a more difficult task, locate Sigils!
- After finishing the new Season 1 Story Mission, a hidden objective that unlocks Dark Aether Rifts must be completed.
V-R11, Wonder Weapon
- We now have the V-R11 in Modern Warfare Zombies.
- Hit a zombie to turn it into a human, or blast a person to turn it into a friendly zombie.
- When shot, players gain a boost.
- In Modern Warfare Zombies, the V-R11 has been introduced to the Mystery Box.
- You can now obtain V-R11 Weapon Cases from loot.
Acquisitions and Schematics
- Dog Bone
- To call forth the most powerful and amiable Hell Hound friend, consume the Dog Bone. When its health runs out, the pet Hellhound will follow you and attack any threats in the area.
- Golden Armor Plate
- By consuming the new Golden Armor Plate, the user gains more damage resistances and replaces the Armor Carrier with Plates that gradually mend themselves.
- Aether Blade
- The Aether Blade is a unique Throwing Knife with an endless supply of ammunition and a fighting style akin to a boomerang. The Aether Blade finds the next adversary to hit closest to it after hitting one and then heads back to its Operator.
Elite Difficulties
- You can level up past Rank 55 into seasons-long Prestige Ranks in Season 1.
- Prestige 1 can be unlocked by achieving Rank 56 starting in Season 1. In Modern Warfare Zombies, achieving this opens up rewards and a series of challenges. Finish those challenges to unlock various unique Calling Cards.

Weapons from the Season 1 Battle Pass
- Unlocked through the Season 1 Battle Pass, the XRK Stalker, RAM-7, and Stormender may be found in Modern Warfare Zombies loadouts.

Hostile Takeover
- resolved a problem that was impeding the mission’s advancement for some safes.
- Changed the Mission Select menu’s description of this mission to indicate that Greene wants players to hit “Terminus” rather than “Deadbolt.”
Merc Cleanup
- This quest will now be advanced by mercenaries killed inside merc camps from a distance.
Shocked
- Rather than repeatedly stunning the same Special zombie, players must now shock five different Special zombies in order to complete this mission.
Storm the Castle
- When the Warlord is eliminated, the necessary mission item will always drop.
GAMEPLAY for Season 1 Zombies Edition
Contracts
- Defend Ground Station
- fixed a bug that prohibited players who had already finished the Defend Ground Station contract in a single session from seeing the timer for that contract.
- After finishing the Defend Ground Station contract, mercenaries will now carry on fighting Players.
- Eliminate Bounty Goal
- HVTs that were enticed a considerable distance from their initial spawn point in an effort to take advantage of their actions will now respawn more quickly and heal more.
- Outlast
- If players don’t advance the contract, enemies stop appearing.
- Raid Weapon Stash:
- If players don’t advance the contract, enemies stop appearing.
- Spore Control
- Modified spores to stop them from spawning on a player, which would cause an instantaneous death.

- General
- fixed a bug that allowed players to accidentally store more Acquisitions in the stockpile than they meant to.
- Aether Tools
- fixed a bug that hindered the application of Aether Tools when a player was operating a vehicle.
- Ammo Mods
- fixed a bug that stopped Ammo Mods from working when a player was operating a vehicle.
- Perk-A-Colas
- Tombstone Soda
- fixed a bug that allowed Tombstones to appear beneath the map.
- fixed a bug that allowed tombstones to appear in the middle of the map rather than the spot where a player had died before.
- fixed a bug that occasionally prevented players from obtaining their essence while interacting with a tombstone.
- closed the several copying schemes connected to Tombstone Soda.

- Players will now receive essence when a Brain Rotted Zombie kills other Zombies or dies.

- Numerous corrections for map places where players were unable to loot goods.
Exfil
- Launch
- The Exfil experience now includes more powerful foes in every zone.
- resolved a unique problem that was impeding the Hilltop Exfil helicopter’s landing.
- In-Season
- All exfils will increase the number of enemies spawned, with the Final Exfil receiving a significant boost to enemy count and enemy types.
General
- Now, player ammo reserves that are applicable will always be fully refilled by ammo caches.
- fixed a bug that let players who sprinted and slipped into a Dog House to die instantly.
- The ability for players to hide inside a dog house has been removed.
- closed a spot that was outside the playing area but yet allowed players to survive.
- Fixed a bug wherein Operator skins chosen by the player would shift when they got inside a car.

ENEMIES
Zombies
- Disciples
- General
- addressed a number of problems that caused Disciples to act strangely, like becoming caught on things or high in the air.

- The Stormcaller Overcame a problem that made it possible for the Blood Burner’s Aether Pulse to kill The Stormcaller instantly.
- Hell Hounds
- If a Hell Hound doesn’t spawn, the flame particles associated with it will vanish.

- Pathing was changed to fix exploits or improper pathing.

- fixed a bug that was causing Light Armored Zombies to sustain more headshot damage than was planned.

- Damage from experimental gas grenades to aether worms has decreased.

- Decoy Rockets
- Decoy Grenades can now only be equipped with or stacked with two instead of three.

Juggernaut
- fixed a bug whereby players may call in a Juggernaut suit crate on top of an Exfil chopper to destroy it.
Sentry Turret
- When a player places a Sentry Turret down, they can no longer kill other players or themselves.
CUSTOMIZATION
Camos
- Update on Bioluminescent (MWII) and Borealis (MWIII).
- accelerated the Borealis and Bioluminescent Completionist Camos UIX’s rate of animation
UIX Update for Season 1 Zombies Edition
- On the HUD, dynamic bars now show the player’s stamina and health.
- Fixed a bug that stopped pings on looted objects in caches from going away on their own.
- fixed a bug wherein users would occasionally equip the incorrect item when attempting to equip a mission reward through the Gear menu.
- fixed a bug that periodically prevented objective titles from loading into a match.
- fixed a bug that occasionally caused the objective text to load into a match outside of its panel.
- Fixed a bug where, when choosing “Activate Armory Unlock” on a locked tactical or lethal equipment piece, players would be taken back to the lobby screen.
PROGRESSION
Achievements
- The First Step
- In Modern Warfare Zombies, players can now unlock “The First Step” if they hit level 55. To get the accomplishment in the past, players had to go to the Multiplayer menu.
Camos
- Completionist Camos Updates for Golden Ivory (MWII) & Golden Enigma (MWIII)
- With the latest patch, players can now use Blueprint weapons and custom mods to finish the Golden Enigma and Golden Ivory Completionist Camos.
AUDIO
Battle Chatter
- Less often will “Friendly Fire” operator talk play.
STABILITY
- Modifications have been made to make sure that, in the event that a player is unable to deploy into a match, they retain their loadout and backpack inventory.
- Several crash and stability fixes were added.
